I've had the opportunity, working with a marketing agency, to try my hand at many different styles over the years. This kind of experience allows me to be a bit of a jack of all trades so to speak. I'm able to jump into any project for any company and adapt to it seamlessly.
Working in the industry for almost a decade means I have worked with many brands from the ground up, creating successful campaigns as a team member or leader. Some of the design work you'll see here is artwork that went to market, others great ideas that were overlooked, and even some award winning material.
There's something about sitting with a client, learning what their business is about, and then going through the process of capturing that in a branding. It's very rewarding when you see the look on their faces when they're presented with something they love.
What you see here are logos that have made it to market and others that I felt were missed opportunities. Either way, I always put my heart into a branding, as it's the first interaction a customer will have with a business. I like to make sure that first impression is as positive as it can be.
I've always been someone that doodled, sketched, and just used my imagination with pen, pencil, and paper. Over the years, I've kind of lost that a bit, focusing on design, layout, and photography. However, recently I've taken up that mentality again and have decided to use it within the digital world. While illustration is not my speciality I'm more than pleased with what I was able to accomplish having been away from it for so long.
Many people do not view photography as an art form, usually saying things like "that's a great photo, you must have an expensive camera." Nothing could be further from the truth. Photography is a hobby of mine, one I enjoy a great deal, but sometimes my best shots are taken with just my phone. It's all about having an eye for it and seeing an opportunity when it's presented, other times it's maticulous and heavily influenced by reseach, and of course sometimes it's just getting lucky.
While I can do some basic video editing and composing myself, it takes an amazing team to truly get great results. It's a intensely collaborative effort that requires everyone from writers to artists to directors. I've been lucky enough to be a part of these sorts of teams and bring to life a few fun campaigns.
I've worked with some very talented UI/UX developers over the years and because of these relationships, I've become very familiar with the web development process. This is most certainly a growth area for me, but I'm able to understand and talk to clients about developing well designed and user friendly sites that meet their needs.
